Sorry, I think it's safe to say that I will probably not be updating my blog very often due to a high amount of stress associated with my new teaching job. 3rd graders are a lot of work and so is the planning! My roommate, Emily, and I did find a little time to experiment with photobooth on our macs and i must say, we got some very nice pictures. Here are some pictures... I'd say they bring out our best features! :-)
I also had a good time trying out a few of the features with my family. Here are the results.
Here is a little preview of pictures. I will do a good post on my trip to the East Coast when I get back... so get excited! :-)

So... I realize I have not posted in awhile, but have no fear. I will soon have some good pics to post and fun stories to tell. I am currently in Philly, PA visiting my friend Emily. We are going to explore the East coast in the next couple weeks. I am super excited! I'll take lots of good pictures to share.
I went down to Delta/Oak City for Memorial Day. We always go to the cemetery where my relatives are buried and there is a program held each year there as well. My grandma put together a list of graves to visit and writes up a little information about the person. Then we put flowers from her yard on each of the graves. It is a good way to spend Memorial Day. Here is some of my family from that side at the cemetery.
My mom had her wedding dress pulled out which was also my grandma's dress. I tried it on and it is definitely a little out of style from todays dresses. And there are a lot of buttons down the back which are actual buttons not a zipper like dresses now. It was fun to try it on tho. Sorry mom, don't think I'd wear it for mine. My little brother put on an old suit he had and we thought it would be funny to take some pictures. We were going for the old fashioned picture so didn't smile. It's a little strange but it was fun ha ha. So no, I didn't get married over Memorial Day weekend.
We then went up to my grandparents house for lunch. We were able to ride some horses that my great uncle has. It was fun when the horse walked, but a little painful when the horse trotted. My legs were a little sore after. It was good times. Don't I just look like a natural on that horse? :-)
A new addition to: The Finny Fam: TJ and Shauna. A beautiful little baby boy was born on Monday around 5:15 to my brother and his wife. They named him Logan Jay Finlinson which fits him perfectly. I am a very proud aunt of my new nephew so had to do a little post for it. I've posted a couple of pictures. Also we did a little lunch/baby shower for Shauna a few days before the due date so there is a picture of that as well.
Graduation was wonderful! I have a very supportive family and everyone came which was nice. It was a lovely day and I got some good compliments on my speech. I was a little nervous because I had planned in a few jokes--luckily everyone did laugh at them and most of my compliments were that my talk was funny and not boring which was what I was going for. There was some motivational stuff mixed in as well. Thanks to all those that came and to all those who were thinking about me even though they couldn't come!
Enjoy the pictures! My mom only took 215 pictures that day!---I've just provided a sample of them below.
After graduation, we went to the park and played some soccer, threw footballs, played cricket, and had a tasty barbeque. It was a lot of fun.

My mom designed my graduation announcements and then I just got them printed at Costco. She did a good job. Graduation is one week from tomorrow! I'd better get crackin' on my talk!
